Wow! What a season we´re having. Not only have the cats and carp been fishing amazingly well, the big shocker this year has been the incredible perch fishing. Look in the gallery to see the evidence of the return of this sporting predator.

 

Last week I happened to be scouting the region and I had the pleasure of meeting a fisherman from Luxemborg, who didn´t let the fact he was in a wheelchair stop him from bagging a superb catfish on pellets. I personally measured the fish at a gigantic 260cm and it weighed in at a whopping 108 kilos. The question is - what is the maximum weight these fish can attain in the Ebro? They seem to be getting bigger every year!
